We took a couple of bottles of Rorie's Ale up to the Northern California Homebrewers Festival this past weekend and opened them with some pretty fantastic palates to give it a shot. The verdict? Impressive. It's a complex brew, that is for certain, and after a big dinner it was like dessert - sweet caramel malts, a dry finish and a punch of acidic cherry notes. It is not a sour beer, but will leave a dry and tart mark on your palate.
There were only 75 cases of this Reserve Series beer made, so it won't last long. If you're in Northern California, pick up a bottle and let us know what you think. We'd love to hear from you.
If you're a beer retailer and would like a case of Rorie's to sell at your location, let us know that, too - email us at sales [at] odonatabeer [dot] com.
